Hubcaps I found

Recommended Posts

Dresden Guy

I picked these old chrome hubcaps up this morning but don't know the age/era they are from. I know the RS gurus  will know. Has anyone painted the  emblem in the middle with black, white or red paint? They appear to be almost NOS.

The hubcaps are 10" & 8"

This is the 10"

I may put them on my B-80, but I don't want them to be anachronistic!

Hey guys ... ... tell me how old they might be and would you paint the emblem?

Thanks

Nice find, up to 1995 as 1996 went to plastic...

I would recommend cleaning the backside well and applying a good coat of paint. (like brushed on Rust-Oleum)

I have seen the stamped areas painted in red & black and (in most cases) they do look better than the silver.

The original look of the caps do nothing for me. I painted the ones on my C-100 and they looked much better. I wouldn't be worried at all about painting them if I were you. Do what makes YOU happy.

I agree, they are a really nice find. A little chrome polish and they'd be mint!

My 94 416-H came with that exact set, so they were at least 1994.
