todd1 0 #1 Posted February 6, 2011 Does anybody know if a magnum 18 will fit in a 310-8? And what mods will need to be done. Thanks, Todd
Raider12puller 1 #2 Posted February 6, 2011 The holes will be in the frame already for the mounting plate. Just have to make or buy the engine mounting plate for a 418. My local wheelhorse dealer could still get them. So yes it will fit.
Sparky-(Admin) 19,673 #3 Posted February 6, 2011 I'm thinkin if your 310-8 has/had a Magnum 10 you'll wont have to mess with the ignition and wiring much. If you have the "K" series 10hp you'll have a bit more work to do. Mike.........
Jesse James 0 #4 Posted February 6, 2011 The motor plate from a 417 or a 418 will fit. You may need to get a different PTO bushing, they may be different sizes.
todd1 0 #5 Posted February 7, 2011 Thanks for the replies guys. I'm a mechanic at a golf course and I'm always looking for old K series engines. Well friday I got a call from our ez-go guy and he has a ryan ga 30 aerator with a m18. This thing sounds great no smoke or knocks for $75.00. I'm betting it doesn't have more than 400 hours on it. Can't wait to get to work tomorrow. Todd
