Wheel Horse 1056 won't move

Recommended Posts

Matt S

Hi,

We have an old 1056. While mowing it stopped moving. The belt still is on and it requires the clutch to get it into gear but it will not move. It feels like it wants to go but nothing. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Matt double check to see if the woodruff keys are still inplace on the rear hubs & even the drive pullies at the trans & engine output shaft.

The rear hubs tend to work loose after time & you can lose the key between the axle & hub makeing the axle spin uselessly inside the hub & no go.

Same deal with the pullies....let us know what you find out.

I'm with Stephen on this, check the rear hubs, If you have to use the clutch to put in gear the drive pulley is still working. Put it in gear and have someone look at the middle of the hub and see if the axle is spinning in the hub. check both sides. Let us know and we can advise you from there. Good luck.
