Limited slip differential

Recommended Posts

Guest

I have a 1992 416 8 speed. How would I know if it's a limited slip differential? There is no model number or serial number. The rear wheels take turns spinning but once and a while both will spin together. Thanks

TT

If it's the original #110995 tranz, it has 8 pinion open differential with 1 1/8" axles. The "Trans-Power" 10 pinion differential was only used from 1967 to 1973 - and not in all models.
