This Porter Cable is in my garage and my kids are running it around 32-33 years later!!! 1978-79....... 2010....

DMK855 15 #7 Posted January 30, 2011 Thanks guys!!! My mom has found many pictures through this last round of snow..... Operator, I got quite tired of the blonde, curly hair and decided to shave what hadn't receeded or fallen out!! As far as the Dart, that was my mom's. All I remember about it was the loud exhaust and air shocks!! The little black Falcon was my aunt's, and the Fairlane (far left above Dart) was my Grandmom's. Not sure what the other car is...... Redbirdman 7 #8 Posted January 30, 2011 Great Photos.....Thanks I love old photos/new photos......specially the new ones where my little kids are now balder or fatter than me now! Who was the cute lady in the first picture where you were in the droopy pissy diapers? Your mom? She looked really too young to be a mom??? PS.....you looked like you were really looking at that vicious pecker biting duck way in the backround.................stalking you There ain't nothing worse than a pecker biting duck when you are in pissy droopy diapers than a butt crack goosing goose.............believe me, I know! Why just yesterday............ahhh nevermind! ED! :ROTF:
Sparky-(Admin) 23,128 #9 Posted January 30, 2011 Thats so cool to come across something like that. My parents have some old "Super-8" home movies with me at about 8-9 years old using my dad's brand new Bradford Stinger riding lawn tractor. It was probably an 8hp with a 36" deck. Came from a department store called Grants that we had here in Connecticut. I bet they have some pictures as well. I gotta take some time and dig thru em. Mike...... 6wheeler 669 #15 Posted January 31, 2011 Those old pictures are neat . I'll bet in reality though, you were actually bawling your eyes out cuz your snotty sister wouldn't let you sit on the tractor . Probably what your little girl in the trailer in the 2nd picture is thinking(he never lets me drive) . Nice bulldog on the hood.. Pat

DMK855 15 #20 Posted February 1, 2011 Thanks for all the comments guys!! If that little tractor could talk, I am sure it would have some stories. It is one of two things that I have that once belonged to my late father. It got left behind in Pa. when we moved to California (1982) and my stepdad ended up with it. That is when it recieved a complete engine overhaul and its JD color scheme. The bulldog was put on it shortly after this picture. As I have mentioned in other threads with this tractor, the Bulldog will always stay on the hood of this tractor even when it loses its JD colors. My dad sure loved his Macks and that little thing greets me every time I walk into the garage!!
