Single Stage snow thrower maintenance

The owners manual for my single stage snow thrower shows how to lubricate the chain and how to greese the jack shaft zerk fittings but the auger is a moving part and it does not say what to do???

How and with what would you "Lubricate" the auger?

If it's the older model the auger shaft bearings are not greasable, so there is not much you can do with them, they are sealed, just make sure around them is clean, free of dirt and other crud, on the chain I like motorcycle chain lube, it sticks to the chain better, that is what it's made for.
