I just learned how easy it is to get AV gas from the local airfield. I will be trying some in the near future!

Rick, how easy was it? I've got an airfield two miles away but have dragged my feet going over there for fear of looking like a total idiot, having no airplane and such. Are they generally cool to guys showing up with a couple of portable gas tanks in hand?

Duff, at this airfield there is no one in the tower on weekends, the fueling station is owned by the town and you use a credit card to buy the fuel. It dispenses Shell fuel, maybe my Shell card will work! A local businessman (airplane owner) showed me how to use the setup, he keeps a 5 gallon can of 100LL for his small engines. I had filled my container before I stopped to see him, so I haven't tried it yet.
