IthacaJeff 151 #7 Posted January 23, 2011 Terrific! But can I add a safety note here, that I really hope you take heed to? Most serious sledding accidents are caused when being towed behind a motorized vehicle. The WH is not 4-wheeler, but the sled can run up against the back of the tractor and under the tires, especially when going downhill. I took an old hand-truck, cut of the lower 1/4 (with the wheels and platform), affixed a hitch coupling on the single handle, and turned it into a tow bar for my kids' sleds. Not pretty, but keeps the sled from running up the back of the tractor. Took me about 45 minutes to make, using a grinder to cut the tubes, a hammer with a big rock as an anvil to flatten out the bar ends, and a drill to makes holes.
