can whlvr 991 #1 Posted January 16, 2011 so im blowing snow like crazy today,i just finished a blower rebuild,new bearings,gears shaft,idlers,chain,shute cable,anyway i smell an electrical smell about 1 hour into test run,i think aw maybe something got wet and thats what i smell,not so lucky,by the time i get it to the shop i see flames under the hood,the plastic sheathing started on fire and the board is on fire too,so i put out the flames and think dam i dont want to buy another circuit board right now,so i unhooked the power to the board and replaced the 2 fuses and shes good to go,i saw the thread a ling time ago about redoing the board but mines not fixable,so has any one put the new circuit board in,my dealer told me today that they arnt exactly the same and a new one is 200.00,maybe in the summer,just wanted to see if any one has bought a new one?
