Pollack Pete 2,273 #4 Posted January 15, 2011 1953 to 1956 Ford F-
rmaynard 14,932 #5 Posted January 15, 2011 Great shot. I think it is a 1951 or 1952 Ford. They had a lot of chrome on the side of the hood. The chrome was reduced in size from 1953 on.
Operator 7 #6 Posted January 15, 2011 I'll go with 54 - 56 , didn't 51 still have the older ,longer narower nose? Nice little truck! Randy
nick909 0 #7 Posted January 15, 2011 Guys, that's a 1956 Ford Custom Cab. If you look closely the writing on the door is for "Custom Cab" and the truck has a wrap-around windshield which was only on the 1956 truck.
Kelly 1,028 #8 Posted January 15, 2011 I'm pretty sure the owner will chime in I think he's a member here.
TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #9 Posted January 15, 2011 It belongs to Bob "taycotrains" Taylor from NJ. It is definitely a 1956.
ricksrj58 273 #10 Posted January 15, 2011 what TT said. the front cab pillars are vertical not laid back . 53 to 55 are laid back

Buzz 502 #12 Posted January 16, 2011 Look closely at the door and tell us what's missing. I've seen the truck numerous times and took me a while to figure it out. :banghead:

Kelly 1,028 #15 Posted January 17, 2011 That is my favorite year ford truck, when you said it was missing something, I looked back and was about 2 sec. to see it was gone.
Retired Wrencher 4,895 #16 Posted January 17, 2011 :banghead: I really like this pick as it shows Made in the USA spirit which in these days is shrinking badly. As I am sure all u guys know this. But enjoy the pick. Gary B....................................
taycotrains 52 #17 Posted January 18, 2011 That is a lousy picture of that truck !....I can say that because I took it ! That picture was taken right after I put the correct wheels and hub caps on it...when I got it the truck it had chrome reverse wheels on it with those crappy looking baby moons. Here is a picture of the truck in Sept of 2003 taken at Bulls Bridge leaving the Kent Ct show....the truck still had the painted grille and the useless sport mirrors. I cant believe some of the places I drove that truck and the loads I carried . Six WH tractors a trailer with no brakes and manual brakes on the truck....if I ever had to stop in a hurry it would have been "over" Here are some close up pictures of the two machines on back of the truck This shot shows a much improved "nose" after getting rid of the painted grille and adding repro factory fog lights and a more user friendly set of rear view mirrors...the truck has a V8 in it I just never put the emblem on the new grille. The local chapter of the ATCA out for a Sunday run down the shore. This shot shows the missing vent window in all its glory....I curse the guy that did this whenever I drive this truck on a hot day !!! Centre Hall Spring 2007 When I finally got smart....Spring 2005 Leaving the ATCA National Show @ Macungie Pa 2005..."much more comfortable" BT

VinsRJ 721 #21 Posted January 18, 2011 I've seen Bob's set up in person and its wicked nice. Its just to bad that the BIG SHOW will not let the truck/tractors in for display. Its not like there isn't enough room and its not fiitting. :banghead:
