Nick 13 #1 Posted May 8, 2008 I might have mentioned this before but looked into it again today after I helped move Ians new Wheel horse topic into talk about smaller diesel trucks. The tractor manufacturer Mahindra might send a small truck to the US in a few years that will have a 4cyl diesel. It will only have around 150hp but 300 ft. pounds of torque so with its lighter weight I assume it should be a worker. Even though its a mid size truck they say it will be rated to haul 2,600 pounds in a 7.5' bed so that about right in with ratings on the standard half ton trucks. Mahindra truck Ok I know its out of India but at least now it looks like they might finish putting them together here in Ohio. Built in Ohio More pictures and info on Mahindra line
refracman 167 #2 Posted May 8, 2008 Ya know i never could understand why VW stopped shipping their little diesel truck here. That thing got 50 mpg. You can bet that little dude will sell with the price of fuel.

You can bet that little dude will sell with the price of fuel. Because it couldn't meet the newer EPA pollution standards without loosing most of it's power.
