CTPATRIOT 12 #1 Posted January 12, 2011 What's the overall opinion on them? What would a clean original good running tractor with a deck be worth?(ballpark figure)
Kelly 1,028 #2 Posted January 12, 2011 I paid $800 for mine, not that nice, but had 2 tillers, snowblade and a snowblower, runs great, I see the PTO is missing, not sure if all of them have the cone style clutch like mine, but they are not easy to find, or cheap. CTPATRIOT 12 #3 Posted January 12, 2011 Is the PTO different than the one on a single cylinder tractor?
520HC 207 #4 Posted January 12, 2011 Yes, the PTO is a little different set-up than the single cylinders.
fireman 1,021 #5 Posted January 12, 2011 If I'm not mistaken, the PTO on the 195 is specific to the C-195 only. Maybe TT or one the other guys more familiar can confirm this. P.S. Is that the one on Craigs List for $1000 or best offer? Offer him $700 for it then go up from there.
TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #6 Posted January 12, 2011 the PTO on the 195 is specific to the C-195 only That's correct. They have a tapered friction hub/lining and matching pulley. The PTO end of the crankshaft is also larger than the "conventional" GT's, so using the typical PTO clutch arrangement would require custom-made parts. You might have better luck finding the easter bunny, or the tooth fairy I'll second that! Your best option is to buy a complete 3 point from a D and order the one part that's different from Toro for $250+. The complete setup will probably run you $600 or more depending on how much you pay for the used D parts.
