Project "satchel burner"

Wow 11 gauge that's about 1/8" heavy stuff no warpage there!

Metal cuting hole saw is the way to go here!

Can't belive those welds w/ gasless flux core you must be a welder by trade!

 HORSEFEATHERS!

This is exactly what I would like to do someday!!! Find an old horse, and make it look like this!!! Even though it's not done, it still looks AMAZING!!! Your work is top notch. I don't want you to ever finish it though... As long as you're working on it, we'll get to see more pictures of it!

Thanks for all the compliments fellas!

I figured I should bump this up... It's coming out of storage in a couple days. I picked up a PILE of suburban parts at the MI show and now have everything I need to finish it. I start vacation Sunday, so I'm gonna finish it next week.

STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES! :woohoo:

Time for an update...

The steering is done, other that stripping and painting the center link and tie rod...

sackburner_001%7E0.jpg

I spent the last two days making a nice hood for it. I picked up the one on the left at the MI show. It only had a couple holes drilled in it, but the bottom (front) was rotted out and someone had cut the back. I took the two and made one.

I have a handful of stuff to sand and paint tomorrow (gas tank, lift lever and sector, steering parts, foot rests, etc.) and I'll (hopefully) start assembly tomorrow evening.
