MalMac 1,328 #1 Posted January 5, 2011 I want to use a slot hitch insted of my clevis. Now the question is the lift cable will be different. Is there a different cable offered that goes from the slot hitch to the multiple groove lifting assembly that you use for the clevis or tiller. This is really hard to describe. I hope I have given at least the general idea.
TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #2 Posted January 5, 2011 Both hitches raise & lower in the same manner, so if you already have the bellcrank under the fender, you should be able to hook the chain to the slot hitch arm just like on the sleeve (clevis) hitch. This might help: parts list I know you have the tiller bellcrank, but it's the same principal.
MalMac 1,328 #3 Posted January 5, 2011 TT will the cable length be the same?
TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #4 Posted January 5, 2011 The cable from the attachment lift arm (inside the hoodstand) to the bellcrank is the same length regardless of what hitch is being used.
MalMac 1,328 #5 Posted January 5, 2011 Ok I just looked at the parts diagram. Cable should be the same I think it's the lift chain that would be different.

brianf 0 #8 Posted May 9, 2011 Does anyone have pictures of this under the seat? I don't think I have the arms that are shown in the parts tree picture that the cable and chain attach to....but I may be misinterpreting the diagram
