1977 C160 Automatic

Dad and I found this tractor about a year ago... Sitting under a tree in a guy's back yard. It had been sitting there for probably 10 years. The guy wanted a small fortune for it. I went back last week and was able to pick it up for a pretty fair price.

I brought it home, cleaned the carb, filed the points and had it running in about 10 minutes. It runs FANTABULOUS!

Here's a few pics of it before I really get started on it. Going for a back to stock-ish redo with different tires.

It looks like HELL from sitting outside, but is in really good shape. Everything is nice and tight. I was able to slide the rear hubs right off AND the hitch pin is not stuck! :banghead:

I love 1977's too. It was the end of an era so to speak. From 1978 on, the C's started using shaker cradles. The solid mount engine was superior in my opinion.

Nice find Bell. Ive got more  stuff than my shed can hold now, but If I run across a C-160 I might just have to make space. What a cool machine. I'd love to see Pictures when its done. Have fun on the restore. :banghead:

Looks great...perfect for that nice new stand of yours!

Another great horse saved! I have to love it that it sat for so long and that ol' Kohler runs so great. Love the K341, mine powers a 2 stage blower and does quite well. I would like to see any current manufacture 16 horse engine do that.
