Yup You heard right, Hell has evidently frozen over or something because its snowing here. Not much is coming down,it looks like there might be some rain mixed in but it looks nice falling. My cat Phillip is looking out the window and hes terrified, its a good thing that hes a 100% indoor cat or he would need therapy :D . Too bad it isnt really dumping here. if it did, I have the only snow plow for a zillion miles...Id be everyones bestest friend :D If any starts to stick and accumulate Ill take pictures so we can all see what Arizona looks like with some snow, Im sure we wont get much but thats ok.It looks like Ill be leaving here with the moving truck on January 20th for PA :ychain:

John...your excitement is overflowing into your post. :D It is as refreshing as the snow hitting your face. I wish you could stop by on your way out to Penn, I might be a little to far north for that to happen though. Welcome to stop by on your way though. :ychain:

St David is located about 16 miles north or Tombstone in the lower SE portion of the state about 45 minutes from the Mexico border. Well the outcome of all this white fluffy fun that we had on and off all day is that the surrounding mountains are covered with snow. About all that we got in St David that tried to stick was a tiny bit that sat on some grass. it was a nice change but my nephews was definitely not happy with the wet/snowy cold weather. By brother in law gave my nephews my old restored 1979 Honda CR 250 race bike that I used to race for Christmas. It was keeping my Wheel Horses company on the front porch for years. They have never had a bike so all they want to do is ride so told them to quit being wimps and ride already so they finally did this afternoon :D

You have no idea how excited we really are to finally be moving. its a whole new start for us in a new place and were welcoming it with open arms. Next week Im going to be on the phone to line up a house to rent. We are going buy one but without even being there we dont know the area so were going to rent for a year or so so that we can decide where we want to buy. Steve do you go to the show in PA each June? Im finally going to be able to go and Im so looking forward to being able to put faces with the names. This trip is going to be something. I will be driving the biggest Penske moving truck they have, I think its a 27 ft one with my truck on a trailer and hopefully my son will be riding shotgun with me. Margo will follow in our car. Im getting the big moving truck so I will be sure to have room for my :D's and stuff :hide: Better safe than sorry right?? I mean,Id hate for Margo to have to leave her Moms china hutch etc behind to make room for my tractors and other toys :ychain:

John, I moved from Indiana to Ohio using Penske trucks. Took 2 of them though, 1 for all the stuff in the house, and one for the horses and all my crap from the garage.

The trouble with 'Horses is that you cant stack stuff on top of them, so they take up a lot of floorspace. (I think I moved 8 :ychain: )

The first truck I got had a loading ramp, but its too narrow for a Wheel Horse. I ended up loading a tractor into the back of my pickup truck, then loading from there onto the truck. But it was a little scary, so I only carried one on that trip.

The second truck I got had a hydraulic lift which worked well. But they wouldnt let me do a one-way trip with that one so I had to drive it back to Indiana empty.

Very rare. The only time we had a real snow was in 1977 when my family first moved here, we actually for close to 4 or 5 inches in one day. They closed the school and everything just because of it. However, whenever got the news. I was so excited I rode my bicycle the mile to school only to find no one there. I waited for 45 minutes to an hour and rode back home and then we got the call saying it was closed due to the snow. I didn't care, I was loving every second of it.... all that snow and no school on top of it all :ychain: It just didn't get any better than that! Since then the most we have received has been possibly 1/4 of an inch and it disappeared after a hour or so.

I was in Arizona in 1997. It was early April. We got 4" of snow while I was there. I was farther north, quite a long way from where you are, but just the same, I was very surprised. There is quite a difference between St. David and Williams.

I did..........they get over it! but of course, they do have a special punishment they use... :ychain:

No sno here in the valley but it is pretty cold. In fact Harbor Freight had a big trailer of work gloves for sale in front of the store today. There is a dusting on the peaks of the mountains like Superstition and Four Peaks. Kinda cool to sit at the kitchen table and see snow 20 miles away.
