member count???

Ok farmboy73 is our newest member here, and has one post, on the post you can see he is member no. 4,404 but if you go to the main page at the bottom we only have 4,013 members what gives?? why the big difference???

I would think that some members have either been banned, have possibly quit, or something similar that they are no longer active. I'm sure the board has a few open accounts that all the moderators can use at certain times and I don't know if they count twords the complete total or not? :ychain:

Not sure but if they have the ability to change the number then I would like a new one. As the old saying of 666 represents the devil or something like that. I have always hated that number and when it come up on my trucks odometer I always cover it up with something. I try to ignore it here..But seriously get me a new number if its possible. I think I asked this before and the only way would be to delete my account and start over again..

The reason for the difference in the count is the members to never validated. Accounts that are in validation are not included in the user count but they have a number. And no you cannot change your member number.

Kevin, I respect and understand your concern (I'm a practicing Christian). If it gives you any peace of mind, "666" is only a number. How we live our lives and treat others is the true measure of who we are, and from what I've read in your posts and from doing business with you, I believe that no one, least of all the Lord, will ever associate that number with evil as it relates to you.

Now, I dont know if he was BS'ing us or not, but I worked with a guy that swore his ex-wifes Social Security # ended with 666. He always said he should have run the moment he found that out...
