zieg72 209 #1 Posted December 22, 2010 I have a lead on a gear reduction steering outfit. What is involved in installing one say on a 417-8? Would I have to upgrade to the forward swept axle set up or could it be installed easy enough. Thought I would ask the experts... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Kelly 1,028 #2 Posted December 22, 2010 It will all bolt right in, But the tie rods will not fit properly, you will have to drill a couple hole to locate the tie rods in the right spot, on the lower steering shaft, but if you ever put a forward swept axle in you will be all set up.
