Sparky-(Admin) 19,580 #1 Posted December 12, 2010 I snagged a sweetheart yesterday, a C-165 8speed. I've been keeping my eye out for awhile for a big hp Black Hood with a manual gearbox and one popped up locally on Craigslist. I moved fast as the Connecticut WH guys are a quick bunch ! It came with a 42" deck, 42" plow with the rear bracket, Wheel Horse wheel weights and chains. It needs a battery as all the used tractors I buy need, but runs good as it is. The guy wasnt asking a whole lot but said "or best offer" so I offered a low price expecting him to meet me in the middle but instead he said "allright, sounds good". Heres few pics. Mike......

Kelly 1,028 #6 Posted December 12, 2010 That is a nice machine, I just sold a very sharp C-145 that needed a engine, I kinda wish I would have kept it, but i don't have room for all the ones i want to keep.
dgoyette 12 #7 Posted December 12, 2010 I think the black hoods grow on you more than any other tractor. Very nice one you found and especially nice to get it for even less than you were willing to pay!

Sparky-(Admin) 19,580 #9 Posted December 12, 2010 I think the black hoods grow on you more than any other tractor. You got that right Darren. The Black Hoods are my favorite style. I have three of them right now but one will be up for sale to make room for the new machine. Mike........

rjg854 10,748 #24 Posted September 20, 2015 I just got done building a new shed, and I've got extra room, but I won't buy another Wheel Horse unless of course I can manage to find a 854, and the reason I want that particular tractor is because I was born 8/54
