JUSS10 250 #1 Posted December 10, 2010 well i've always wondered about these. there are a ton of cheap ones on ebay, they all look the same and come out of china. has anyone used one of these cheap ones? for as little use as it would get i dont want to spend to much but i also dont want to buy a piece of junk. it would just be nice for dialing in some of my tractors. thoughts? pfrederi 17,173 #2 Posted December 11, 2010 I have one and it works most teh time. Can be finicky trying to get it to read if there isn't a clearly defined spot on the shaft you are trying to read. They provide some reflective tape but the adhesive is junk and is hard to get it to stick to a surface that isn't perfectly clean. I also have a S-W mechanical gage. You press the rubber tip up against the end of the spinning shaft. It will usually confirm that the laser gage is about right. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
