Butch 194 #1 Posted December 5, 2010 Hi, I got a new condensor for my C175 since I'm working on the engine. But the condensor is different. Only one wire comes out of the can but another wire is crimped to it with a fork type connector at the other other end. It still has an eyelet connector that goes to the coil but this new cinnector baffles me. If it's a ground it's already grounded at the eyelet connection. Anyone know what's up with this? Thanks! bobert94 38 #2 Posted December 5, 2010 My kt-19 has the same setup you are talkinng about .the fork connector goes to the points and the eyelet end goes to the Negative side of the coil. I have a new Kohler condensor still in the bag, its the same. Hope this helps
dgoyette 12 #3 Posted December 5, 2010 Yes, I got the same one for my KT-17. I removed the crimped wire from the condenser, and left the wire I already had going from the coil to the points alone.
Butch 194 #4 Posted December 5, 2010 Thanks to both of ya!! It was just a different way of getting the wire to the points.
