Lost Pup 172 #1 Posted November 26, 2010 Found some nice stock in a pile from a friend and tried my hand at some dashboard bling. Bolts were mostly missing or mismatched from the PO of the 417-8 so as a first time effort on the lathe with a cheap knurling tool I turned these thumbscrews for the dash and shifter and side covers. As a work in progress it seems I am always taking panels on and off as I make repairs. The extra long one goes through a spacer to then to a speed clip on the panel with covers the electric lift actuator on the left side.

I have a South Bend 10K Lathe. It has proven its worth over a short period of time. Just about a must have to make parts for the tractor. A Craigslist find of $400.
