So What Are You Doing For Thanksgiving?

Recommended Posts

HorseFixer

MJ and I are staying home for Thanksgiving, and having our daughters and grandkids over. I will be testdriving this Bad Boy. I had a couple electric smokers but smoked so much stuff I burned them up (elements). Three years back I purchased one of these but while curing it the the legs just spread apart and kaboom the dang thing just fell fell over :wh: and just about hit my grand daughter Henny. Cabelas sent me a new one and comped me a couple gift certificates but that still didn't solve the problem So recently I pulled this out of my shed put it together and built a Stainless Steel Rolling Cart that keeps the legs from spreading apart and from tipping over. I have used this unit 6 times for a total of 30 hrs and it works great!

This evening I will Be Smoking a Ham & Turkey and a pan of smoked dressing. Im off today so I will be making the dressing turkey gravey, and tonight when MJ gets off work she will make the rest of the fixins along with some great deserts while I drink a little drink :) and smoke a little smoke!

So what are you guys doing?

My daughter and her husband just brought a new home (which I have been doing renovations on for the last month), and we are celebrating Thanksgiving and a house warming by having family and friends for dinner at her house.

My son-in-law's mom and dad are here from Wisconsin, so it should be a good day.

As usual, turkey. ham, stuffing, and all the trimmings are on the menu.

But let's not forget the true meaning of the day.

I am thankful for all that I have, and to be living in a country that is free.

Let's hope that it stays that way.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL.

Bob

Over the river and through the woods to stevasaurus's home they come. The wife's side of the family this weekend, so Thanksgiving lasts for 3/4 days. You never know what is in store, but my famous smoked Turkey on the grill with about 2 cups of homemade cherry wine in the pan for the gravy is always a special treat.

We also have lots to be thankful for...Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I agree we all have a lot to be thankful for. I couldn't ask for a better family and one that puts up with my tractor sickness. I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful children who I will enjoy spending the day with tomorrow.

Hosting my parents and my grandmother as well as my wife's grandmother. I will be up early getting the bird taken care of and then the wife and I will tag team the rest of the food.

A good day with family, plenty of food, and some Detroit Lions football! :) As you can tell, I don't jump on the bandwagon........I love my Lions!

Wishing all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels for those of you on the road or in the air from the Mehlberg family!

My family meets here for T-Day and Christmas, so we are expecting a large crowd of up to 20 people. It's a good time, and we all have a lot to be thankful for this year. Most of all my daughters soon to be husband coming back from overseas duty alive and still walking. Two purple hearts in service for us and our country.

Happy T-Day everyone.

My son was called up in June and is over in Africa this Thanksgiving. His wife and youngest daughter drove down from Harrisburg PA yesterday and spent the night. I picked up my mother-in-law and her 87 year old gentleman friend and brought them over for dinner. He's one of the kids that stormed the beach at Normandy. He needs a walker and help getting around but he EARNED that help. A great day made better when my son called just as we finished. The only things they served today over there were turkey, ham, and lobster  ............ Where do I re-enlist?
