 I currently own a late 60's model tractor(not for shure). I was told that this model was produced for one year. I know it has a 10hp engine that runs. There is one problem with it something to do with the starter and charging system. A bearing of some sorts has went bad. I used it to mow our yard untill this past summer. I can not fix it and know it is worth more than hauling to a scrap yard. I do not know wht it is worth. Help me find this tractor a new home so mabe I can have a down payment.

If you look in front of the shifter mounted to the dash tower (below the dash plate, where the key is inserted) you should see a model number and below that a serial number, check and post here what you find, then we can tell you what you have, or post a picture of it.

Where are you located? It will cheaper to repair this than to replace it with a box store throw away! Get the model number and you'll get plenty of help here locating parts and even repairing it!

Sounds like you have a 1045  . That would mean you have a 10hp Kohler with a starter/gen setup, manual tranny, square hood and rounded rear fenders. Right?

If your not inclined to repair the starter/gen how about just replacing the whole thing. That would be a simple bolt off/bolt on repair.
