Model T go Kart

I am looking at buying a Freeway Distributing Co. Model T go kart made in the early 70's. It does not have the original motor and has damage to the driver side - 2 large cracks near the step. Seller said to make an offer. Can anyone help me out with a value?

it looks in nice shape. the crack doesn't look to bad. personally id pay $150 for it but i don't know the true value. that is my opinion.

I believe these were a big hit with the Shriners. They used these in the parades they participated in.

When making an offer the seller can either, take the offer, turn you down or tell you to get lost because you have insulted him. Be careful not to low ball.

I have seen them sell from 500 right up to 1500.00. I don't think the non original engine will affect the value to much. For the most part the Model T's came with a 3 hp Briggs motor as speed really wasn't what they were all about.

It really comes down to how badly you want it and how badly the seller wants it gone. The condition really isn't bad at all. The cracks are in the floor board more then likely because of an over weight adult and is fairly common. Back when my son was smaller I wouldn't have a problem paying 500.00 for this one. (though it may be worth more) If you can manage to get it cheaper you have done well. Cash in hand always helps.

I think that is a good deal.I sold one similar last year with no engine and surface rust for $350.00.I think you did just fine. Jim.

Thats is really neat. It looks like it was well taken care of. I bet it will be a lot of fun to fix up for you!
