Like most folks in this country, I have a job. I work, they pay me.

I pay my taxes & the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem).

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT----doing drugs while I work.

Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could call the program "URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!

Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though. Something has to change in this country - AND SOON!

P.S. Just a thought, all politicians should have to pass a urine test too!

The people that work for paychecks!!! Of course!!!

Not the well -to- do's on the list for tax break credits!

We all have to take care of the people that "Earned It" too!!!

They don't pay so we have to!

Middle class workes of America carry this country on there budgets!

Welfare AND Well-to Do!!!

This piss testing has got to have turned out to be a big money deal for the ones that perform the service. I couldn't tell you what it costs for the service at the company I work for but the government would more than likely create so much 'fat' on this that by the time each department got their cut a test would cost 1000 bucks!!

I hear you Bud on the MC carrying the country. My back is killing me!!!

Brandon, I not only totally agree with you 100%, I think something should be done really quick to remedy this situation and a drug test seems to be the way to go. :) I know with todays economy there are really good people out there who could use a helping hand because they lost their job and their unemployment has run out. But they're people out there that I call "professional reliefers" who were born and raised on relief and think that is the American way of life. They get up when ever they feel like, crawl into a bar room, do their drugs, sell their food stamps for money for booze and drugs while all us workin' people are out there busting our butts paying for them. All you have to do in Pennsylvania is tell them you're crazy and you feel like killin' yourself and you are entitled to get total disability. I sometimes sit back and think we're the crazy ones to go out everday to work and pay for them. I could go on and on, but the more I talk about it, the more it aggravates me.

Also in total agreement!

The way I keep my perspective on the current state of things (and frankly, how I keep from getting really pissed off!), is to remember that when my time comes to go before my Maker, I'll have no problem looking Him in the eye and accepting my fate gracefully, for I go out each day and try, if only in some tiny way, to make this world a little better place. Granted, Im no saint - far from it - but at least I try!

Whether or not I should, I pity those who have to face Him and to try to explain how they've wasted their lives in defiance of the simplest of His teachings.

I agree 100%!!! These are sad times we live in! And the thing is if you dont pay them the Welfare money they will come and get what you have and sell it to make their living. One way or another they will get $$ anyway they can sad sad sad. We have created a monster as we are in our 4th Generation of Welfare!

Something along these lines.......I just had some theft at the DUKE "O" MINIUM a few months back and have been busy fortifying my place I had to use some of what I have learned in my job at my home. Its pretty sad that I have to spend my hard earned money to have my family feel safe from worthless thieving bastards. I was lucky in that I only had my bicycle stolen and a 30 pk of beer. I'm pretty lucky as I got my bike back.... (It took a trip to the hood) <_< No doubt it was kids as all the stuff I have in my garage thats all they took! I knew they would probably be back so thats why my urgency in being PRO ACTIVE anyways I'm ready now!! "BRING IT"

The Florida State Legislature approved a pilot drug-testing program for 57,000 temporary cash-assistance recipients in 1998. Lawmakers concluded that paying $90 per drug test was too expensive, so the program was canceled. A standard 5 panel drug test kit now can be 99 cents but the increased Administrative costs may offset any savings.

If a single parent were to test positive then the children would end up going into foster care while tax payers pay for a drug treatment program and foster care. I'm sure recipients would need to be tested regularly to be effective. With the costs of the drug tests, foster care, drug rehab programs, and various administrative costs it may be cheaper to just pay them and institute a Workfare type program and require 40 hours of labor. They can clean the houses of taxpayers and mow our lawns for free LOL.

BUT, if somehow it could be made so that it didn't increase taxes I wouldn't stop at just Welfare. Any person or Company receiving Government funding of ANY kind should also get tested (CEO's, Board of Directors, Farmers, etc.).
