The November 2 election results

Howdy all,

Some of you may have noticed in some of the pictures of my Wheel Horse /projects that I have taken in the past few months, our car is visable in the background in some of the pics and there is a green campaign sign on the door. Well my brother in law Virgil was running for Justice of the Peace here and we have been working really hard to get him elected. Well when the returns came in, we lost by a mere 250 votes. My late father in law Jimmy Judd had been the JP untill his passing 5 years ago while he was serving his term.Before that he was the Sheriff of Cochise County for about 20 years. Im only mentioning this because I am extremely proud of Virgil ! He ran a honorable, clean campaign against the incumbant and he did really well.A lot of people would have used their family name to help his chances but he refused to and he ran on his own merits and his qualifications as a Air Force linguist being fluent in 9 foreign languages and then he served with the NSA using his language skills to help American recon pilots evade Soviet threats etc during the Cold War. He is also retired law enforcement officer,.He teaches 3rd grade here after having to retire from LE because of a severe hand injury recieved in the line of duty.He opted to get a teaching degree rather than go on disability. If it sounds like Im bragging about him......well I am. I went High School with him as well as his siblings one of which is my wife Margo. His brother Morgan was my best friend passed away a year before his Dad. Anyway Virgil is more than brother in law to me, hes the brother I never had ... wait that sounds really bad seeing as I married his sister enter the banjo playing Anyway,Im one heck of a lucky guy, when I married Margo I also inherited the whole family who I had been friends of for decades only to become one of them by marriage 30 yrs after graduation. I couldnt be prouder of him. PS Hes 3 yrs older than I am and I look 20 years younger Love it!!!!!!!

Oh and in case you noticed... yes he and 2 of his other siblings were named after the Earps.. He being Virgil, then My bestest buddy Morgan and the "baby" Tye Wyatt Judd who just turned 40.

John, Great story, sorry Virgil win the election, sounds like a true AMERICAN! And you should be proud! Thanks for sharing a good story!

John, GREAT POST, and thanks for sharing this. Be sure and thank VIRGIL for me for his service to this great country. I am thinking maybe you should of used this post in the campaign. I also suspect you may have some public service behind you also, if so THANKS. In INFO, you mention moving from ARIZ to PA, maybe with some therapy, you will get over this,[everybody in PA, JUST KIDDING].
