AMC RULES 36,961 #1 Posted October 21, 2010 Hey everyone, my name is Craig and the wife is Linda. You may have seen me lurking around for a a little while now, thought I'd take a moment and introduce myself here and say hi. My beautiful bride and I just aquired our first home and our first horse here in NY state. Figured I need a little work horse to care for all the real estate associated with our new home too. A whopping two tenths of an acre. Hey you gotta start somewhere, right? Anyway, great wealth of info provided here, I really like the RedSquare forum, everyone seems really friendly here. I know I can count on everyone if I need some help from time to time? Here's a shot of the Mrs. on the back 40, her first time on our new 520. My grandpa was director of the advanced design studio at AMC from 1962-72 and director of Jeep styling from 1972 until his retirement. Growing up in an AMC household we had a wheelhorse of course. horsefeathers 15 #14 Posted October 22, 2010 Craig, Thats one sure fine AMX! Luv that body style! My mom had a Gremlin' when I started drivin', that was my "test" car! I just learned of the AMC/Wheel Horse connection a few months ago! COOL! Meadville is a stones throw away from Oil City! That was the Amilie Refinery that burnt, on Rt 322 coming into Franklin. I rember as a kid riding through there, right through the middle, it was scary! Big tanks, pipes, things goin' whiss,poof,pissss! And that smell! (I luv that smell!) Then it burnt and was even more scary lookin'! All gone now! Penzoil in Rouseville closed and it's all gone! That was a big plant! The Birth Place of the Oil Industry looks pretty sad now!!! I noticed in my profile, we have the ability to change our display name up to three times in a thirty day period? I don't know why, but it seems like you can reinvent yourself here every ten days here. Sounds interesting... so, I decided to see who's paying attention here on RS.
