The spring comes from the bottom throttle lever up to the governor arm. A wire link connects the governor arm to the carb.

Dwayne, just responded to your PM.... my RJ's throttle is hooked up a little differently. As far as I know and from the way it looks, I would say its never been messed with.

Could you post some pics Vin?

This was how I received the motor from Charlie with no other clear way to hook it up.

Here she is....... I've got two RJ's, one is a 58 (original 1200) and one is a 59 (original B1290), which both had this throttle linkage set up in the pic below. Specifically its a pic of my my 59 which was purchased from the original owner. IMO its was never messed with until I dismantled the tractor for a complete head to toe cleaning.

As you will notice the lower "L" linkage is flipped over compared to both of yours. Next there is a cable clamp holding the cable to the lower bolt of the blower cover. Again IMO this set up makes sense since the throttle cable on a RJ comes in from the left when seated on the tractor.

Thanks Vince, that was the direction that mine was flipped. Also, explains why the cable clamp was on the lower bolt like yours!!
