TJ 183 #1 Posted October 11, 2010 Mr. Magoo was what came to mind the first time I saw it, so that should give you an indication how old I am. The little car belongs to the wife of a friend of mine. She received it from the estate of a beloved Uncle, and has been storing it in a shed for the last ten years. Now she would like to see it finished before her grandkids get to old to enjoy it. Her Uncle had some fabricating skills, and the entire thing is built from common household items, scrap metal and a few old motorcycle parts. Unfortunately, he died before he could complete it. I need to build a drive train, replace the motor, fix the steering, clean it up and paint it, add some gauges and a working cigarette lighter---piece of cake. Thanks for looking. stevasaurus 23,098 #5 Posted October 11, 2010 Well, you know I remember. Great project you have going on there TJ. A thread is a good idea, and the cig lighter goes in right after the battery. :)
Sparky-(Admin) 22,242 #6 Posted October 11, 2010 Neat ride TJ! So only one pedal?? No brakes ! What sort of powerplant does it use? Tractor type of engine or motorcycle. Wouldnt it be cool with a nice coat of Wheel Horse red and some old style Wheel Horse dealer decals on the door. Kinda like an old delivery vehicle. Mike......
