1986 312-A Rebuild

I live in the Chicago Area (South). I am getting close to finishing it, I would like to find a similar tractor in the area that I can shoot a ton of pictures of to make sure I have I everything put together correctly

I should have done that from the beginning. Next Tractor I will do it right!

Hi Andrew,

Below I marked where I would like to see some pics.

Front of the engine where the throttle and choke cable mount to the engine

The wiring harnesses on each side of the engine, My son clipped them, trying to start the engine.

The switches for the PTO engagement, cant figure out how they were mounted.

Went to fire up the old girl last weekend. I ran a wire from the "+" side of the coil to the battery and took some jumper cables and tried to start it. Well it turned over good, had spark, but wouldnt fire. I gave it a shot of starting fluid fired for a a couple seconds and stopped.

My brother in law stopped by and asked me where I got the gas. I told him from my gas can. He said "well I forgot to tell you, the generator I fixed in your garage last week, I drained the stale gas from the generator into your gas container"

Guess I will be cleaning it out this weekend and trying again!
