On another thread someone had made a statement how he heard there is software to notify you when something comes up on Craigslist that you want. yes there is software. It's called Ad Notifier and it's only $10. So now expect Craigslist to have more competition for your items! :)

Then I'm glad I got all the tractors on my wish list except one. I already know where one of them is located and for sale. Just need to save up the rest of the money. Boy am I glad I started collecting before the collector explosion

Yeah but how many sellers know about Craigslist? Some will still show up on Ebay and I'm sure some will be in the local papers. I don't know if the collecting is gonna dictate the prices or the economy will. I still wouldn't invest any money in WH tractors unless your hobby is collecting them. Buyem cause you likem!

I setup mine to notify me from any listing source I choose (ebay, paper, etc.). With papers many ads are added online and my method will pick it up shortly after they are listed. I've also accounted for various misspellings.

When I first started collecting over 5 years ago, I had no competition in my area and tractors were a dime a dozen and really cheap. Now I have over 20 guys in my area within a 75 mile radius including one guy who has a business parting out tractors. So needless to say, the supply has dwindled and the prices have gone up. There are people still out there that have no idea off the value but they are far and few between.

I few months ago I was gonna hang it up and sell off everything. Then I realized I really have everything I wanted. Now the fun is to restore and maintain them along with going to some shows now and then!

Jeff we have always been here only you didn't know it. I've been pickin off a few of the known brand tractors for almost 20 yrs. now and they aren't cheap anymore. Most tractors now are way overpriced but there is the occasional good deal.

I have to say that I still look on cl daily and ebay as well. I have no notification system. Wish I had because I missed a 69/70 Economy 1614 with 5 foot mower deck for $100 the other day

This seller was a perfect exampe of what we are all looking for. He said it sold 5 mins after he listed it. He also said he has over 25 calls then asked me what I thought it was worth

This is a great hobby but like Jeff said I have what I want for the most part. I will use caution in buying going forward. The term I use now is "selective buying" :USA:

But guys!!!! Rember not evryone uses a computer!

Something I learned a long time ago, if you want to sell yer beat!

But if you want to buy! Run an add in the local paper or trader publication!

You'll have a captive audince! sellers will call you!

And as I have posted on RS before! Put your in the back of your truck

or on your trailer and drive it aound! You will get intrest and maybe find a tractor or two!

This did work for me !

Some folks have stuff they didn't know the wanted to sell!!!
