belt size

I just swap'd out my 48" SD for a 42" RD , I now need a drive belt from the engine to the deck , can anyone tell me the size I need , I cant get to the toro dealer for awhile so I'll have to buy a cheapy from TSC or somewhere.

you can try here to get your belt number. Do you know the model # of your deck?

Once you know the right belt number, Napa or TSC or whoever can cross reference and get you a belt that should work. When you get a chance you should get an OEM belt, and keep the old one for a spare.

In most cases, the 42" RD deck drive belt is 98" long X

Thanks I'll try the 98, that give me a starting place and I bet your right. Im going to load the tractor and take it with me just in case.I'll let you know.thanks brandon

TT , how does it feel to be right , 98" was perfect :) . I will get a toro belt , but I was in a pinch , Thanks for your help Brandon :USA:

Pretty good - on the rare occasions it happens lately. :)

I use a 42" RD on my 416 sometimes, and the 98" belt is correct for that combo.

A little late but, I just put 2 belts on a 42" RD deck that I rebuilt the spindles, and put new blades on. 1/2" x 89" for the blades if you ever need that, and as TT said 1/2" x 98" for the mule drive / P.T.O.
