Inherited a D-160

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I've been lurking here for a while and finally decided to join a couple days ago. This past spring I inherited the D-160 (1980 model) that has been in the family since around 1990. I have a bunch of attachments - 48" mower (I think) 48" rototiller, home made garden cultivator, and a home made mid-mount grader blade. The tractor had been sitting for 3 or more years and was not running when I brought it home from my parent's house. Long story short, it's alive again but needs some more tinkering with the carb before I would consider it "well" as it suffers from the fairly common "surge syndrome" (it goes away with a little choke). I have no doubt it is carb related due to the length of time it sat in the shed. I hope I can make the old girl last a while longer, it's a very useful little tractor. That's pretty much my story.

This site has a great wealth of information and has been a big help to me - so a big thanks to everyone that contributes to make this site what it is.

My name is Jesse and I have the Wheel Horse addiction....
