wedgeheaded 0 #31 Posted August 25, 2010 I'm digging your toys. You should check out MOPARTS and MoparStyle. Style. I had a 79 LRE a few years back. Always swapping this for that and looking for a new driver. My curent Mopar toy is a 75 Cordoba, I'm gathering parts for my 64 Polara hard top. Did the NATS again this year but it was very hot! http://www.dotphoto.com/go.asp?l=wedgeheaded&AID=6134248 http://www.dotphoto.com/go.asp?l=wedgeheaded&AID=6155202

I like your NEO LRE, old school cool with all the comforts of home. I was hot for a Dakota rag top for a while but stumbled onto the Doba and it was too good to pass up. I like the Midnight Express theme too. There was a real MET at the NATS last year, first one I'd ever seen, very cool. My grandpa worked at a Chrysler dealership in the early 60s through the mid 70s when it closed. I remember Cudas with billboards sitting new as well as roadrunners and Chargers, Demons, Dusters, Darts, all of it. Great time to be a kid. Thanks again for posting. Let's see them Mopars Brother!!!! HORSEFEATHERS The Charger was a 361 from the factory. I spun a bearing and bought a 400 from a bracket car when the owner moved up tp MaxWedge. It had a 510/292 Racer Brown cam w/hemi springs and 516 heads (closed chamber) treated to OS SS valves, bowl blend, smoothed runners, and a gasket match. The 727 was pretty much stock with a shift kit and a 2800 stall converter, 3.91s out back with sure grip. It was a hoot to drive and would fry the hides. Great smokey burn outs. I sold it to build a new garage/shop. I miss it. I don't plan for the doba to be anything but a cruiser. It's out of Vegas and as rust free as you can hope for. New paint and plastic parts will go a long way. The Polara's a 318 poly with AC. I found headers for it last year at the NATS and will probably just keep the teen in it for the easy factor. Saddly I have an 84 Ramcharger 4x2 that's off frame for a resto and it gets put back before I start the 64. It should be an easy project but time is not on my side. (Mic was wrong) Between the wife and kids we have 6 mopars on the road. I won't say I'll own nothing else but it will be a last resort. Love them Mopes. Like they say, "If you have to ask why, you wouldn't understand."
