jgun45879 196 #1 Posted July 31, 2010 Hi, Can anyone tell me for sure what Kohler engine I have by these numbers? Ser. No. 698818 Spec. No. 28626E. I'm guessing its a K-161, but I need to be sure. Also, is a K-161 crankshaft the same as a K-181 crankshaft? Thanks, Jim.
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted August 1, 2010 It's a K-161 - from either a 753 or 754 Wheel Horse. The K-181 crank has a longer stroke than a K-161 crank.

TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #4 Posted August 4, 2010 Does the serial # date it to '63 or '64? That serial number is higher than the numbers on both of my 753 engines. The 754 supposedly used "left over" 753 engines, so there really shouldn't be much difference with their numbers.
