IthacaJeff 151 #1 Posted July 27, 2010 Hi WH'ers: This may be a simple (stupid?) question, which may be why I have not seen it addressed here. I've got 23 x 8.5 x 12 tires on my wheels. . . original to the tractor. Will wider 23 x 9.5 x 12 tires fit on these rims? What about even wider 23 x 9.5 x 12 tires? Or, do I need to get new wheels to go with the wider tires? The local CL has a set of Carlisle turf savers for sale, and mine have seen better days. . . Any help appreciated, Jeff in Ithaca

dgjks6 6 #4 Posted July 27, 2010 I think I am right on this, but if I'm not someone correct me. The wheel horses that came with 8.5 and 9 inch wide tires - the C series and the early 300's had 12x7 inch rims. The ones that came with 10.5 inch wide tires were on 12x8.5 inch rims. So in my opinion the 23x9.5.12's should fit fine on your rims. The 23x10.5x12's wil fit, but they will be a little "ballooned" on the sides.
