Well, my parents had a lot of cars that I remember. I will have to try to remember them...

1) 1966 Mustang coupe

2) 1974 Chevy Caprice (We called it Ol Yeller)

3) 1976 Chevy Impala

4) 1976? AMC Concord Sedan

5) 1977 Mercury Cougar XR7

6) 1979 Mercury Grand Marquis

7) 1977 GMC Truck

8) 1968 Jensen Healey Roadster (This was mine and my fathers fixer upper)

9) 1975 Ford Thunderbird

10) 1986 Ford F-150

11) 1988 Ford E-150 conversion van

12) 1985 Dodge D-150 Truck

13) 1992 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale (Which I later bought off of them)

14) 1979 Chevrolet Caprice Brogham

15) 1998 Dodge Stratus (Which was totaled while I was driving.. Dont worry not my fault)

16) 1997 Pontiac Bonneville (My current car that I bought off of my father)

17) 1988 Ford F-150 XLT truck

18) 2001 Ford F-150

19) 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix (Their current car)

Granted these arent in order.. But, I think I did fairly good considering How many we had. My father was a shade tree mechanic for 31 years. He would get these vehicles and re sell them. Most of these though, we kept for a number of years before we let them go. If I think of any more, I will edit.

I can remember my moms first car was a 73 maverick then having a bunch of VW beetles then an 81 Honda prelude. My dad had a 65 mustang and then a 76 olds cutlass S then a 77 f350 which I loved it had a 460 in it with pipes that came out the side loud. That's probably why I like all my cars loud today

Dad's 1969 Ford Falcon Futura with the 302 V-8. What a sleeper car that thing was. Then there was the venerable 1974 Ford Country Squire station wagon with the 351 Windsor and the rear fold-out "Rumble Seats".

Dad bought a used 1938 Hudson Terraplane that we drove to Illinois to visit an old army buddy in 1946 or 47. Hung a "desert water bag" on the hood ornament to keep our drinking water cool. He owned old Mercurys, 1949, 53, 55, 58. First new car he ever owned was a 1958 Edsel. Boy, he could really pick them. First car with A/C was a 1965 Comet.

Oh yeah Butch, when Dad walked to school it was uphill both ways...... He dropped out in his senior year to join the CCC building dams in the Tennessee Valley. Family needed the money during the depression

My dad had a 67 F250 and my mom had a 65 Falcon. Then came the Torino GT, the Trans AM, the Dart Swinger, the Olds Hurst 442, and the most memorable was the CJ 7 Laredo!! Wish I had a few of them today!!!!

Duff

Dark blue '59 Chevy Bel Air wagon with a 283 and slush-box tranny, as I recall. That gave way to a 60-something Ford Country Squire wagon, and eventually a '69 Chrysler Newport sedan with a 383 - talk about a boat!

...and the rest is history!

What was the first of my parents cars that I remember? A '56 Ford wagon in red and white. Then a '57 Ford wagon, also in red and white. Followed by

'59 Pontiac Catalina wagon,

'53 F-100,

'63 Caddy Sedan De Ville,

'63 Buick Special,* (now mine)

'65 Chevy van,

'64 Thunderbird,

'65 Ford F-350 flatbed

'65 Thunderbird,* (now mine)

'67 Thunderbird, (was mine but now gone)

'66 Caddy Sedan De Ville,

'72 Caddy Coupe De Ville in which I took my driver's test,

'75 Ford E-150 van

'66 ford Falcon Futura, * (now mine)

'72 Thunderbird,* (now mine, and I have a second one)

'76 Ford Granada, (I also had a '75 Granada)

'80 LTD,

'88 Sedan De Ville, My mom's last car. *

'67 Mustang,

'68 Mustang

'47 Willys Jeepster

'73 Mercury Montego,

'30 Ford Model A coupe,*

'60 Nash Metropolitan,

'62 Nash Metropolitan,

'95 Sedan De Ville,*

'92 Ford Explorer,

'87 Ford F-150*

'04 Ford Explorer,

* = Still on my Dad's place, in various conditions from basket case to still roadworthy.

I also have a '66 Ford Fairlane parked at Dad's.

Other cars Daddy's owned,

'30 Ford Model A Roadster,

'37 Lincoln Zephyr,

'47 Caddy Fleetwood,

'49 Mercury convertible.

The Ky State Police cruisers I can remember Daddy having.

'62 Ford Custom,

'64 Ford Custom, (Had the rear clip blown off with four sticks of TNT. The back glass didn't break when it blew out, so they put it back in the rebuilt car. :D

'65 Ford Custom (first year of KSP gray, and return to blue lights)

'67 Ford Custom'

'70 Ford Custom,

'71 Plymouth Fury (He was doing around 140 MPH in this one when he went off the road to avoid an oncoming car. It turned backwards and took out just over 600 feet of board fence before hitting a VERY large tree. The tree pushed the back bumper up under the back seat, but a state mechanic drove it over 100 miles back to the capitol in that shape.

'72 Ford Custom,

'75 LTD,

'76 Plymouth Fury,

'76 LTD,

'78 LTD, and his last cruiser was an '81 Malibu.

Cruisers he had before I came along.

'49 Ford coupe,

'53 Ford (His first new car of any kind, all later ones were new.)

'55 Ford (It had a 312 Interceptor in it and was stripped of all excess weight, including chrome trim. He still says that was THE fastest car he's ever driven. Back then all the Ford cruisers were built in Louisville and the KY State Police got to play with some neat experimental stuff.)

'57 Chevy with a 348 W/double four barrels. He said it was fairly fast, but the early disc brakes faded way too quickly.

'59 Plymouth Fury
