hitching post/veterans stone/bench

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd share a few job photos. The hitching post is 5' tall, and the hook is installed with lead into a tapered hole. I made it from an old sandstone step. I'll be working on a wheel horse themed hitching post here shortly. If anyone has any ideas they'd like to see in stone . . . let me know. What your mind can believe and conceive, my hands and my chisels can achieve . . .

I made this for a friend of mine for his garden . . .

my buddies daughter did this coloring on paper when she was 4. I transferred it onto this 5' stone, chiseled it out, and painted it to look like her crayons. Then installed it onto vertical sandstone set into the ground and it's a bench. 100_0043.jpg

That first one - got the name right and we have Spaniels in the family.

You ever do pet grave markers? Flat on the ground style.
