elixir20 1 #1 Posted July 7, 2010 Sorry for crashing summertime, but will a model 606212 snowblower fit a 310-8? Thanks
Sparky-(Admin) 19,651 #3 Posted July 7, 2010 I cant get that model# to work with the TORO master parts page. Double check it for us. Mike......
TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #4 Posted July 7, 2010 It's undoubtedly a 6 - 6212 - which is a basic 37" snowthrower unit. If it's equipped with the correct completing kit (hitch / belt tensioner assembly) then it could work on a 310-8. :D
elixir20 1 #5 Posted July 7, 2010 Thanks guys. I should have added that I checked with the Toro website and came up empty. The model number came from an ad, and I have yet to make contact to verify the info. Fow what it is worth, the ad says it is a 42" unit...Stay tuned...Also, does the 10hp Kohler have enough gonads to deal with smaller quantities of snow? The tractor came with a blade so I could always stick with that. Thanks.

I've got a 42" Allis-Chalmers snowblower cobbed up for my 210-H. 10 horse Briggs runs that plus the Hydro just fine.
elixir20 1 #7 Posted July 9, 2010 OK, I have confirmed it is model 6-6212. Is it a direct fit? Thanks.
MikesRJ 552 #8 Posted July 9, 2010 There were two completing packages for that unit: the 6-9112 (for 10-14hp Long Frames {45-1/3" wheelbase}) and the 6-9222 (for the GT-14). If you have the former completing package then it should fit without a problem.
elixir20 1 #9 Posted July 9, 2010 MikesRJ, sorry to sound so dumb here...I take it the completing package is basically the type of hookup to the tractor? I have a picture of the unit but cannot figure out how to post it.
MikesRJ 552 #10 Posted July 9, 2010 Correct, WH sold snow throwers in two parts. The blower was its own model number, and depending on which machine it was to be attached, you would order the associated "completing kit" model number which was the attaching end of the set-up. Here's the manual for what you have: http://www.mywheelhorse.com/graphics/file/...0-73_6-6212.pdf And the completing packages: http://www.mywheelhorse.com/graphics/file/...9112_A-5188.pdf and http://www.mywheelhorse.com/graphics/file/...leteing_pkg.pdf Technically speaking, your machine (a 310-8) calls for original model 06-42ST04 42" Snowthrower (No longer available from Toro, currently available models 06-42ST05 06-42ST07/79360). 06-42ST04 http://www.mywheelhorse.com/graphics/file/...04_810264R1.pdf
