Hudson Suburban Trail-n-spray

Don't know how many of you have ever seen these. Old guys and anyone who grew up on a farm will probably recognize it, but younger guys and those who live in cities have probably never seen one of these.

Sold as an allied attachment to Wheel Horse, this is a Suburban Trail-n-spray made by Hudson. The same Hudson that is still in business and still makes sprayers today. This one belonged to my grandfather, and was used for many, many years in his hobby orchards. It's only the 12

What kind of pump is that big pulley turning? In the tree spraying picture from the old literature, the pump appears to be developing good pressure.

That is the first one of those I have ever seen.

It's just a regular pump, just long so it reaches from the top of the tank to the bottom, and yes, it does deliver some good pressure. Easily sprays 30-40 feet up into the trees. The large pulley is needed because there's no speed reducer on the engine.
