Coadster32 793 #1 Posted July 2, 2010 I got a Lauson H55 off an Ariens snowthrower that has a tillison carb on it. It ran pretty good for a bit, and then yuck. I disasembled the float chamber part of the carb and cleaned it out really good, as well as the low idle screw orifice. I honestly didn't see a need to take it apart any further. Got it back together, but is too late at night to fire it back up. The low side screw was set to 3/4 turn from bottom. The high side screw was 4 turns out from bottom. I am not used to these carbs, but that seems a bit much no? I guess where is a good starting point?
VinsRJ 721 #2 Posted July 2, 2010 Chris, I would leave the high side alone until you get the motor started/running. I would set the low to 1 1/8 or so and try to get it started. If its doesn't start after pulling it a couple of times lean out it in small increments until it starts.
