Eaton 1100 in a 73 14 Automatic?

I have an Eaton 1100 Hydro out of a 417-A for sale. A friend has a1973 14 Automatic, with the Sundstrand. It creeps, and has been worked on, but won't stop. So, he is wondering if it will work in his 73. Any input? His has an internal brake- the 1100 has the brake hub. Will this bolt up, what will it take to get brakes, and is the linkage hard to adapt? Any help is appreciated!

The 2 are not interchangable. But might want to install a new slide plate, there still available for about 7 bucks at the dealer.
