ricksrj58 273 #1 Posted May 16, 2010 my new $50 dollar project i just bought. what year is it,55 or 56 ,how can you tell?
VinsRJ 721 #2 Posted May 16, 2010 Like you said its either a 55 or early to mid 56..... hard to tell. It does have a no name hood so with that.... it puts it in that time period. The lift cable and rear hitch can be another indicator to narrowing down the year, but they look to be missing For $50 you did well. Now the fun part finding the correct 1200 Clinton or K90 Kohler..... :D
ricksrj58 273 #3 Posted May 16, 2010 i have a k90 for it,i just need to replace the pulleys on the tractor with the correct ones and replace the steering wheel and make/fix a few things.

Kelly 1,028 #12 Posted May 16, 2010 Just scrub it down and wipe it with WD-40 to bring out the red, and holds the rust at bay, get it running and driving, work out the bugs then tear it down when you have time, then that way you know you have all the parts to do the rebuild.
