Butch 194 #1 Posted May 7, 2010 Finally got my Miller 211. Now I hafta learn to use it. I bought lots of accessories for it too. Below is a pic of the welder and the cart. Below that is my 1st project! It plugs into either 110 or 220. The plug dictates the voltage. I appreciate all the help and feedback I received about buying the welder. I did buy a 150 cf bottle with 75/25 argon/c02. $190 for the bottle and $40 for a fill. Butch S Jersey

massey 119 #8 Posted May 10, 2010 You can never go wrong with a Miller, I have one of their mig's and a plasma cutter and love them both. Their support is excellent.
tgranthamfd 29 #9 Posted May 11, 2010 That beats the hell out of my $39 cart that came with bolts and nuts that were neither sae or metric. We looked at that welder at work, but went with another style. Bet she will do a fine job. They went with the 110v portable, at work, with flux cored wire, does ok on the light stuff. Where did you get your bottle set up?

I got the bottle at South Jersey Welding Supply in Vineland, NJ. They have 3 locations but this is the main one. 1000s of bottles in the warehouse plus they must deliver to welders. A lot of company trucks loaded with bottles. They had the best price on bottles. If you rented a bottle the deposit was $150. $40 more and you own it. The receipt they give you is kind of like a title of ownership! They will give you a new bottle for the price and you can have it filled while you wait but I didn't wanna go that route. I just wanna swap them with no waiting. Here is their flyer. http://www.sjwelding.com/pdf/SALE_OF_THE_DECADEb.pdf Butch
tgranthamfd 29 #11 Posted May 12, 2010 I looked at Tractor Supply, mainly because they are open 7 days a week and open late. Theirs is a bottle exchange type of deal, but it was kinda high to get started so, for now, I'm just using the flux cord wire. It does really well on mine, I have the Hobart Handler 187 in a 220V.
