bustedglass 1 #1 Posted March 26, 2010 I just printed out the April sheet of the 2010 calendar, and I noticed something that I really hav'nt thought about or looked for when printing out the previous months sheets. There is no reference to, or mention of the year, model #, etc. of the machines that are shown, or, who owns them. I was just wondering what the reasoning was for leaving this information off of the calendar page ???
bustedglass 1 #2 Posted March 26, 2010 I put my original post in "Wheel Horse Tractors". That is where the link to the Calendar is. How did it get moved to "Non Tractor Related Discussion" ???
stevasaurus 23,275 #3 Posted March 26, 2010 Hey Mike...it is the little gnomes. They're everywhere...like cameras on stop lights. I think they really mean well though. I heard that the TV show "Dirty Jobs" was going to do an episode with the moderators from Red Square. :D
CasualObserver 3,411 #4 Posted March 26, 2010 because your post is about the calendar, not the tractors. The calendar is where it is from an admin decision. And your question can only be answered for sure by T-Mo, who designed the calendar. However I'd guess that the information is left off because not all of it was available. So to keep it uniform, nothing was put on.
bustedglass 1 #5 Posted March 26, 2010 Thank You Jason for the reply and the info. Maybe on next years calendar ...
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,602 #6 Posted March 27, 2010 Mike, Jason's right - I didn't have and/or I couldn't remember all the info for each picture. So, instead of just putting some model info in, as well as owner info, and I just left off that info for each one. It was only fair and the right thing to do for all involved. This was the third year I did the calendar; the first year I had owner's name and location, but it was easier as we only had probably less than 50 members and it was like the old TV show "Cheers" - everybody knew your name. Now, the last two years, with the increased membership I don't know all the members. Poor excuse, I know. But, I received several pictures from several different members - most didn't give me model info and frankly, I filed the pictures away and when I compiled the calendar, I couldn't remember what picture came from who. Again, a poor excuse, I know. Maybe I will be better organized next year, or maybe a better candidate will step forward to this little project. I do hope you like the calendar, it takes a little time to do and I have to work it into my schedule. Thanks for downloading it and using it.
bustedglass 1 #7 Posted March 27, 2010 Terry, I LOVE the calendar, and use it all the time. I have a copy in my computer room, and another in the kitchen. You do a GREAT job, and I hope I speak for all when I say, "Thank You", for the outstanding job, which I am sure must take an immence amount of your time. And I thank you for the reply. I only hope that those that submit pictures for future calendars, will include their names and a little info on their machines . And I can only say, "Terry, Thank You", and keep the wonderful calendars coming.....
