Indy w h 5 #1 Posted March 22, 2010 Bought this off a buddy of mine that bought it 3 years ago and never used it. The other PO did a slight alter job on it converting it to a 3 point plow on one of the yellow and white off brand GT's so here it is yes you saw it right that's a bench vise upside-down clamped to the plow frame !!!! MikesRJ 558 #2 Posted March 22, 2010 I imagine the thought of the vice was a large clam, or was it extra weight? "Interesting" thought pattern either way!
Roger from southern Iowa 1 #3 Posted March 22, 2010 I think the plow wasn't adjusted right and wouldn't go in the ground. :omg:
Lane Ranger 11,395 #4 Posted March 22, 2010 Indy: Nice find on the plow and that little vise came with it as extra? Not bad at all on the three point set up either beacuse it preserves the original Wheel Horse hitch hookup. I bought one of those for $50 last year in Cloverdale, Indiana and it was all newly painted red. I am still taking the red oil-based paint off that the previous owner's son put on it just before I bought it. But all the adjustments to the plow are now greased up and I think it the first time the tow of the plow was even adjusted to put in the ground. We will be running this on the garden with a 1054 but depending on the wetness of the soil this year could be a little tough to use this size plow with a 10 HP! The water table in Indiana is moving upwards in a lot of spots across the state. :omg:
Indy w h 5 #5 Posted March 23, 2010 Thanks for the reply's guys!!! Mike I think the vise was for weight Lane this is not a three point plow. It was put on a cub low boy and built for a three point plow. Your 1054 will pull a Brinly 12" with no problem. Trust me mine pulls one with no problem!! Thanks again.
