stevasaurus 22,286 #1 Posted March 13, 2010 Took a drive out to beautiful western Illinois and met SmokinJoe. Picked up a couple of goodies, including a spare transmission for my 702/502. We talked for about 1 1/2 hours and he showed me his collection. Just want to say thanks Joe, and it was great meeting you. See you at one of the shows this year. Some pictures below. stevasaurus 22,286 #7 Posted March 13, 2010 OK...I went out in the rain to take some pictures of the Snow Blade I bought from Joe. No model or serial on it, but it is a Wheel Horse, and we think it will mount on a RJ/Suburbon and maybe on the 702. B)
TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #8 Posted March 13, 2010 6-3151 -- for the vertical shaft Lawn Ranger models, 1969 & early 70's. Never intended for horizontal shaft garden tractors, but they make for a great start on a custom mid-mount grader blade (or two). B)
stevasaurus 22,286 #9 Posted March 14, 2010 You are reading my mind TT. I went looking in the Yahoo groups and the blade 6-3151 is the only one I found that measures 39" B)

stevasaurus 22,286 #13 Posted March 14, 2010 here is a few shot of the trans I got from Joe....thanks I am still going to restore my trans next week, but I could not resist buying this, as it will fit 3 of my horses, and I suspect the other 2 may need a good cleaning at least. TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #14 Posted March 14, 2010 Unless it's the angle of the picture, that looks a lot like a 5085 (?) "long axle" tranz that was used in the Commando 800 / 1973 8 4 speed models. Notice that the brake drum mounts to the countershaft and not to the reduction gear/pinion shaft like the "first generation" Uni-Drives.
