Need a Little Help ID'ing a Hood

Recommended Posts

VinsRJ

Got this hood and have no idea what model WH it came from. Looks weird to me because it has the open grille section but had a front mount gas tank, the broken tank straps are still attached. B)

Whats it for?

Thanks for your help.

It is a replacement hood for a 1961 Suburban. The replacement hoods had the "slots" in the grille.

Thanks!

Does anyone here on RS have any interest in it?

Its straight (including the grille bars), un-cut, has a couple extra holes right under the decals (thats where the PO bolted the replacement gas tank straps) because the tank straps are missing/broken. Would make a great start to a nice hood.

Thanks again for all your help.

If anyone wants to see what this service replacement hood looks like in use, Jeff (fireman) used one on his RJ-58 resto last year in this thread. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=7994 B)
