hodge 6 #1 Posted March 7, 2010 Last night, our precious, 17 year old son died in a car wreck. He had a saving relationship with God, and he died instantly. I can not ask for anything more- to know that my son is in Heaven, secure, and that he did not suffer. We are filled with grief, but we know, beyond any doubt, that God is good. His ways are higher than ours, and I can trust that He will bless us, despite the pain and circumstances. We have been overwhelmed with comfort, compassion, and grace. God NEVER gives us more than we can handle- when we can't handle it with what we have, He gives us the grace necessary to compensate. Please, if you haven't gotten peace with God, don't wait another day. There are no guarantees, and you are wasting precious time. He desires a relationship with you, and life is TOO SHORT to wait. God bless all of you. I expect there to be an outpouring of compassion and love from you guys, and I want to say thank you in advance. You are indeed fine people. Love in Christ, Mark Hodge

Gene_S 93 #10 Posted March 7, 2010 Mark, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family too. The hardest thing is to loose a child so be strong! God works in some strange ways some times! God bless you and your family! "The death of a child is like a stone cast into the stillness of a quiet pool; the concentric ripples of despair sweep out in all directions, affecting many, many people." And it has affected us too. tarcoleo 120 #16 Posted March 7, 2010 In life, events occur for which there is no explanation or reason. We, the aggrieved living, must go on and take care of the living, and the matters that still remain. There is no other choice. You and yours be well and treasure the time you had with your son.
